Tung-Yen Chou

Together with Kulturværftet in Elsinore, award winning director and founder of The Very Mainstream Studio, Taiwan, Tung-Yen Chou premieres the co-production Taipei-Copenhagen at CLICK Festival 2016. A 3D production combining 3D technology with live performance and a stage artistic and anthropological exploration of the concept of happiness, with Taiwan and Denmark represented in each their end of diverse happiness indexes. In this interview Tung-Yen Chou takes us on a journey through the work on his latest work, Teatime with Me, Myself and I, and shares his perspective on how to redefine the use of multimedia in theatre with gadgets that are familiar to us in the everyday life. The interview also gives us his perspective on how to balance between technology and narratives – and on new media art in general.​
